About

I am a PhD researcher at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design within the University of Dundee. My work is project-based, investigating how creative practice is used as a shield for innate sensitivity.
My hope is to explore those who identify as Highly Sensitive (HSP, also referred to as Sensory Processing Sensitivity - SPS), Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD), and Asperger’s, and investigate how creative practices are used to mediate the symptoms of sensitivity.
My belief is that creative practice is used as a shield to modulate sensory overload. The shield can come in many forms and serve multiple purposes.

I am a self-funded PhD student and will be adding a Patreon page or other tool for those interested in supporting my research. Thank you for being here!
